Rock & Read, developed in association with Cherrydale Baptist Church Children’s Ministries, is a bi-weekly interactive program for infants & preschoolers to enjoy with their parents or caregiver. Each hour-long session includes singing, dancing, listening to stories, and making new friends. The songs and stories are appropriate for children ages one through four, but infant siblings of participating children are also welcome to attend.
The spring 2012 program begins on January 13, 2012, and meets every other Friday morning from 10:30-11:30am through May 25. The cost per family (up to four children) is $35 for the nine-session semester.
At Rock & Read, children are encouraged to participate in singing and motions through which they practice gross motor skills and creative expression. Our story time books are carefully chosen to nurture a young child’s imagination, character, and faith. Children also enjoy a snack of Cheerios and low-sugar juice boxes during story time.
